Soundsory is a multi-sensory music and body movement therapy program developed following years of research in auditory stimulation. Soundsory is based on the Tomatis® Method and is designed to assist professionals in helping their clients improve motor skills and cognitive development.
Soundsory is a clinically evaluated therapy program for therapists and professionals working with individuals from the ages of 3+. Soundsory is the perfect program to add to your therapy toolkit if your child or client is experiencing developmental delays, motor function delays, or sensory processing difficulties.
The body’s vestibular system involves different components such as posture, balance, coordination, and muscle tone. It also plays a role in spatial navigation, sense of rhythm, and motor planning. The music of Soundsory, in addition to the movement exercises, is designed to enhance the vestibular system through dynamic stimulation—with emphasis on rhythm.
Soundsory is a 40-day program including 30-minute daily sessions of rhythmic music listening and movement exercises. Therapists can readily adapt our 50+ suggested exercises to their client’s individual therapy goals.

Soundsory is based on years of auditory stimulation research and when used in conjunction with therapy for children or adults, it can provide the right boost needed to achieve their therapy goals.
Gross Motor skills are those skills that involve the entire human body, namely the core muscles – back, arms and belly.
These skills include sitting, standing, walking, jumping and running.
Fine motor skills are the ability of the human body to make small movements using hands and wrists.
These skills include writing, grasping small objects and buttoning clothes.
Ocular motor skills are the ability of the human eye to locate and fixate on something in the field of one’s vision.
It is how we can look up at the board or teacher and then back to the book on our desk seamlessly.
Balance and Movement is controlled by the body’s vestibular system.
Balance enables the body to do activities like walk, sit up, or roll over.
How do we know where our bodies are in space? How do we know if we are standing, sitting up, or lying down? Are we moving forward, backward, sideways, up, or down?
The vestibular system constantly sends this information to the brain which leads to spatial awareness.
Postural control is something that we all use constantly throughout our day. When it is working well, it means our vestibular system is functioning well and communicating with our muscles.
For example, we usually sit in our chairs, then bend down to pick something up without falling out of our chairs.
The vestibular system supports the tension of our muscles. When the body remains still, our muscles constantly make little contractions.
These little contractions help our bodies increase or decrease tension when we have to change body positions.
The vestibular system participates in the creation of what is called “the feeling of what happens" which is the ability to be aware of one’s own emotional state at any particular moment in time.
This can be defined as emotional arousal.
We work with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, teachers, and psychologists from around the world to bring forth the very best in client therapy care.
